Jerome Robinson hits clutch three to lift Wizards over Nets

Playing in his seventh game since being traded to the Washington Wizards, reserve guard Jerome Robinson hit the biggest shot of his young NBA career Wednesday.

With the Wizards trailing the Brooklyn Nets 106-105 in the waning seconds, Bradley Beal found a wide-opened Robinson on the wing. Robinson then drained the three to put the Wizards ahead for good 108-106.

That was Robinson’s only three of the game.

However, he wasn’t finished scoring. He grabbed the rebound off a Spencer Dinwiddie-missed three, leading to a foul with 1.6 seconds remaining. Robinson hit both free throws to seal the 110-106 win, snapping Washington’s three-game losing streak.

Robinson finished with nine points, matching his high since joining the Wizards.
