Adam Eaton gifted one lucky cutout baby a baseball. The Washington Nationals outfielder handed the ball to the baby sitting on her mother’s lap after tracking down a fly ball to end the fourth inning.
Cutout fans replaced physical fans in baseball stands with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But who says the players can’t have fun with fans even if they’re unable to physically be there?
Eaton spotted the adorable baby along the right field line, and gifted her with the souvenir baseball. Both baby and mom’s facial expressions shows they were excited by Eaton’s classy move.
Now mom will get to tell baby about the time the Nationals outfielder gave a baseball to their cutout-selves.
