Andy Dalton knocked out by brutal late hit from Washington’s Jon Bostic

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton exited Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team after taking a brutally late hit by linebacker Jon Bostic.

Dalton broke the pocket on a scramble and appeared to give himself up by sliding. Bostic inexplicably hit Dalton in the head, knocking off his helmet in the process.

Dalton appeared to be knocked out and lay motionless on the field momentarily. He eventually was helped to his feet and walked to the locker room for further evaluation.

Bostic, Washington’s starting Mike linebacker, was ejected from the game. Dalton was ruled out by the team with a concussion.

Washington led the game 22-3 in the third quarter at the time of the play.
