Terry McLaurin expected to play Thanksgiving despite being listed as questionable

Washington Football Team star wide receiver Terry McLaurin is expected to play Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN’s John Keim.

McLaurin did not participate in Monday’s walkthrough practice with an ankle injury. He was a limited participant in Tuesday’s practice. However, the expectation is he will suit up in the pivotal holiday clash.

Washington’s passing game operates through the talented wide out. This season McLaurin leads the team with 62 catches and 871 receiving yards. Additionally, he is tied with tight end Logan Thomas for the team-lead with three receiving touchdowns.

Since being selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, McLaurin has blossomed into one of the league’s better young receivers. In fact he has produced in historic levels.

His 1,790 receiving yards are 12th-most all time for a wide receiver through his first 24 career NFL games, putting him ahead of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

Thus having McLaurin on the field is imperative to Washington’s success on Thursday. Despite both having a 3-7 record this season, the winner of Washington and the Cowboys’ game will move into first place of the NFC East division.
