The Washington Wizards are waiving guard Jerome Robinson and are expecting to sign forward Jordan Bell to a 10-day contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
This will be Bell’s second 10-day stint with the Wizards this season. He was signed in January. He appeared in three games and averaged 3.3 rebounds, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16.7 minutes per game.
Bell was ultimately released and then landed with the Erie Bayhawks of the G-League as a flex-affiliate player from the Capital City Go-Go. He appeared in seven games with the Bayhawks, averaging 17.6 and 9.1 rebounds in 27.4 minutes per game.
Meanwhile, Robinson struggled to find his footing in Washington. The Wizards acquired him in a trade last season from the Los Angeles Clippers. He flashed during the Orlando bubble last season. But couldn’t carry the momentum over into this season. Instead he fell behind Garrison Mathews and Raul Neto in the rotation.
Robinson shot a meager 29.5% from the field this season, including 26.2% from three-point range. In 17 games, he averaged 4.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 17.9 minutes per game.
