Golden State Warriors forward Kent Bazemore barked up a tree earlier Monday. Now, he has Bradley Beal’s attention.
In praising his teammate Stephen Curry on his epic performance Saturday night to remain the NBA’s scoring leader over Bradley Beal, Bazemore threw an indirect shot at Beal and his injured hamstring.
It was an unnecessary shot by Bazemore. Following the Wizards’ 125-124 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Beal, who did not play in the game due to a hamstring strain, responded on Twitter in a NSFW manner. The three-time all-star did not hold back either, tagging Bazemore with each response.
Bazemore and Beal have history together going back to the 2017 NBA playoffs. Known as more antagonizing than a stud basketball player, Bazemore has gotten under the skin of others in the past as well.
Beal’s wife Kamiah Beal, chimed on the beef, throwing more shade at Bazemore.
Meanwhile, Curry maintains a narrow lead over Beal in the race for the league’s scoring title this season. Curry is averaging 31.9 points while Beal is averaging 31.4 points per game. Beal is expected to miss at least another game — Wednesday against the Hawks — before being re-evaluated Friday.
While he is on the shelf in the meantime, Beal isn’t sitting back and letting Bazemore’s disrespect fly without being addressed.
