Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder were teammates last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. But on Saturday they were once again opponents. Harrell is now with the Washington Wizards and Schroder is with the Boston Celtics.
During the game, Harrell got an opportunity to tell Schroder what he thought of him.
Harrell got matched up with Schroder. He used a spin move to blow by Schroder for a layup. After scoring the bucket and losing his headband, Harrell appeared to call Schroder “trash.”
Harrell has been vocal about his lone season with the Lakers. Both he and Schroder were made scapegoats for the Lakers’ disappointing defense of their NBA championship.
Schroder turned down an $84 million extension from the Lakers that proved to be a big mistake. After a dry market in free agency, he settled on a one-year deal with the Celtics.
Meanwhile, Harrell was ready to get away from the Lakers. Now, he seems to be rejuvenated with the Wizards along with fellow Lakers castaways Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Harrell apparently didn’t seem too fond of Schroder. Maybe it could be Schroder’s cold response to one of Harrell’s Instagram posts that was meant to be a tribute to his late mom.
