Washington Football Team center Chase Roullier was carted off the field Sunday against the Denver Broncos after having his leg badly rolled on.
Roullier was injured on a third down sack of quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Just as the play was ending, Broncos defensive end Shelby Harris rolled into Roullier’s leg.
The training staff placed an aircast over Roullier’s leg. Washington immediately ruled him out of the game with an ankle injury. Tyler Larsen replaced Roullier at center.
Washington entered the game without right tackles Sam Cosmi (ankle) and Cornelius Lucas (illness), forcing third-string tackle Saahdiq Charles to start. All-Pro right guard Brandon Scherff (MCL sprain) also was out for the fourth consecutive game.
