Saturday’s game between the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat had a thrilling ending. The Wizards prevailed with a 103-100 win, erasing a 10-point deficit in the final five minutes. But, a Bam Adebayo full-court heave in desperation nearly sent the game into overtime.
The Wizards made a clutch defensive stop in what appeared to seal the win. Montrezl Harrell forced Jimmy Butler to miss a potential game-tying three as the clock expired. However, a foul was called on Heat forward PJ Tucker with 0.6 seconds remaining.
Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma missed both free throws. Bam Adebayo grabbed the rebound and launched the ball towards the rim.
The ball hit back iron, allowing the WIzards and their sellout home crowd to breath a sigh of relief.
