Everyone who roots for the Philadelphia Eagles are breathing a collective sigh of relief after railing collapse nearly took out quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts was walking off the field following the Eagles’ 20-16 win over the Washington Football Team. A group of Eagles fans in the stands of Washington’s FedEx Field were hoping to slap high-fives with Hurts. When the railing collapsed sending a herd of Eagles fans crashing to the ground, just barely missing Hurts.
Fortunately, no one appeared injured. The Eagles fans then turned the scary situation into a moment of endearment towards Hurts.
FedEx Field which opened in 1997 has faced a load of criticism about being outdated. This season, the stadium has experienced a sewage pipe break (team maintains it was rain water) and sprinklers going off in a luxury suite at various times.
The field of play has also been a topic of criticism by Washington and visiting players through the years.
Hurts called the situation “real dangerous,” according to Pat Gallen of Philadelphia’s CBS channel 3.
