A group of Washington Football Team players, including safety Deshazor Everett, were out together celebrating the birthday of fellow safety Landon Collins.
It was the first time Everett has been seen publicly since a fatal car crash on Dec. 23 in which he was the driver that killed his girlfriend, Olivia S. Peters.
A photo from Collins’ Instagram shows Everett wearing a bandage on his wrist as well as a walking boot.
Everett sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. His injuries have not been disclosed. Washington placed him on the reserve/non-injury list shortly after the accident, effectively ending his season. He missed the final three games.
Earlier Tuesday, Everett tweeted “Just need time to rewind…”
Other players in the photo included defensive tackle Daron Payne and defensive backs William Jackson and Kendall Fuller among others.
Deshazor Everett continues to cooperate with local police and the NFL office, according to his attorney Kaveh Noorsihad.
“At this time we ask that you respect the privacy of the individuals and families involved and reserve judgement until all of the facts are gathered,” Noorishad said in a statement earlier this month.
