Watch: Cowboys fans throwing things at Referees, Cowboys players leaving the field

After a 12-5 season and NFC East division title, the Dallas Cowboys’ season ended in a disappointing way. The Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers at home in a Wild Card playoff game 23-17.

There were many factors and credit goes to the 49ers for going into Jerry’s World pulling off the upset. However, there were some head-scratching moments for the Cowboys, particularly with play-calling and decision-making from its head coach that led to the loss.

Cowboys fans inside AT&T Stadium were clearly frustrated and disappointed. Some took out their frustration by throwing things at Cowboys players as they left the field.

Surely, a jaw-dropping and scary moment to see any fans throwing things at players, especially its own players.

Cowboys fans in attendance had to stomach their head coach Mike McCarthy and his team botching multiple critical situations in the game.

For instance, when the Cowboys kept the punt team on the field following a successful fake punt for a first down, trying to force the 49ers to take a timeout. Only to run the offense on the field just before the play clock expired and the Cowboys were penalized for a delay of game.

How about the game’s final play? Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott ran a designed-scramble and was tackled inbounds with no timeouts. Prescott tried to spot the ball for one play as the game clock expired, ending the game.

Oh and there were the 14 penalties Dallas committed. Watching blunder after blunder, Cowboys fans were fed up following the loss. Yet, throwing things at the officials and players is not the way to voice their frustration. Cowboys fans please do better.
