If there is one play that illustrates how the Washington Wizards steamrolled the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, it’s Kyle Kuzma’s monstrous poster dunk on 76ers center Joel Embiid.
Kuzma drove past the 76ers perimeter defense. Tobias Harris was late to rotate over, prompting Embiid to step up as the last line of defense. That didn’t stop Kuzma who flushed it through Embiid’s block attempt.
The dunk sent the Wizards bench into a frenzy. It also ignited Twitter into a fiery reaction.
Later in the game, Embiid actually thought twice about stepping in the path of Kuzma a second time. As a result, Kuzma got an uncontested dunk.
Kuzma finished with 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds in the Wizards’ 120-102 win. Aside from being on the receiving end of a nasty poster and the loss, Embiid actually had a great game. Embiid had a game-high 32 and eight rebounds.
