The first half of Thursday night’s game between the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears was a snoozefest. There were more lowlights than highlights. The best moment of the first 30 minutes of the game may have belonged to Bears offensive lineman Sam Mustipher.
At the end of a first down play late in the first quarter, Mustipher shoved Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne. When Payne pushed back, Mustipher responded with an epic flop.
Cooler heads prevailed as officials and other players jumped in between the two players. Mustipher had no intentions of escalating the matter. Instead, he was busy pulling out an Oscar-worthy flop, hoping to draw a flag.
Unfortunately for Mustipher, no flags were thrown for the flop.
