The Chicago Bears had a promising 11-play drive against the Washington Commanders. Chicago reached the Commanders’ five-yard line. However, on 2nd-and-goal, Bears quarterback Justin Fields’ pass bounced off the helmet of Commanders defensive lineman Efe Obada.
The ball flipped into the air and landed in the hands of fellow Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen for the interception.
The interception is Allen’s first of his career. Fields has now thrown five interceptions on the season.
Fields rarely throws in comparison to other NFL quarterbacks — he entered Week 6 with a meager 88 pass attempts this season. But he would love to have that pass back.
