Pistons stuck in Dallas, game against Wizards postponed

Update: Wednesday’s game between the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards has been postponed, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Pistons are stuck in Dallas currently due to inclement weather.

The Pistons are stuck in Dallas until at least Wednesday due to inclement weather and plane issues, according to James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

The Pistons played the Dallas Mavericks on Monday but could not leave with an ice storm slamming the Dallas area. The storm has caused logistical problems with the Pistons’ plane. The team sat on the tarmac for hours before deciding to stay in Texas for an additional night.

The Pistons and Wizards are scheduled to play in Detroit Wednesday night with a tip-off at 7:00 p.m. The Wizards are in Detroit.

The league is facing a potential postponement of the game. Both Washington and Detroit are off Thursday. However, both teams are set to play back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.

The Wizards have won six consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NBA. The win streak has included four straight on the road. Washington is 24-26 and ninth in the Eastern Conference.
