The Washington Redskins have ruled out wide receiver Maurice Harris for Sunday’s season opener against the Arizona Cardinals with a concussion. The Redskins made the official announcement following Friday’s practice, along with the final injury report before the team heads to Arizona.
Harris suffered the concussion against the New York Jets in the Redskins’ second preseason game. He missed the final two preseason games and is still experiencing concussion symptoms.
Harris was penciled in as the Redskins’ fourth wide receiver on the depth chart. Gruden has hinted that seventh-round pick and Mr. Irrelevant Trey Quinn may fill in as Harris’ replacement. Undrafted rookie wide receiver Cam Sims could also get snaps.

Jamison Crowder did not practice on Friday for personal matters. Left tackle Trent Williams was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday as a precaution to give him rest as he returns from his off-season knee surgery. Ryan Kerrigan was also limited with a minor hip issue as a precaution as well.
