WATCH: Maryland WR Jahrvis Davenport Put Defender in Spin Cycle for Game-Changing TD

Maryland needed a spark, they were stuck in neutral as deep as the third quarter in Saturday’s game against Bowling Green. Trailing 14-10, and facing a 3rd-and-goal from their 22-yard line after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, Maryland got the spark they needed from wide receiver Jahrvis Davenport.

Quarterback Kasim Hill found Davenport on a crossing route and just as a Bowling Green defender was approaching him, the senior wide receiver hit a beautiful spin move to evade the tackle.

With a good block from fellow receiver Taivon Jacobs, Davenport then turned up the sideline for the clear path to the end zone to give the Terrapins the go-ahead touchdown. The play was turning point of the game, igniting Maryland from that point on to score four more unanswered touchdowns for a 45-14 win.
