WATCH: Jonathan Allen Boots Away Eagles Kicker’s Ball after Standoff

The Washington Redskins may not be headed to the playoffs this season, but the opportunity to play spoilers to NFC East division rival the Philadelphia Eagles is still worth suiting up. The rivalry got another cliff note in the process as Redskins defensive end Jonathan Allen and Eagles kicker Jake Elliott exchanged words during the pre-game warmups that ended with Allen punting Elliott’s kicking ball.

It appears Elliott was set for warmup kicks, as Allen and the Redskins were going through their pre-game stretches. There was a bit of a stand-off before Allen decided to boot the football Elliott was attempting to kick off the tee.

At 7-8, the Redskins’ season will end following Sunday’s game, however, the Eagles at 8-7 need a win over the Redskins and a Minnesota Vikings’ loss to Chicago to clinch the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC. Seems like both teams got an additional incentive to come out victorious.
