Bryce Harper during Phillies Introduction: ‘We Want to Bring a Title Back to DC’

Bryce Harper has officially signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. While the ink on his 13-year, $330 million contract was drying the Phillies introduced their new prized possession Saturday.

With his time with the Washington Nationals now a cliff note in his career, Harper may not have the Nationals off his mind just yet. During the press conference, Harper made a huge slip.

“We want to bring a title back to DC,” Harper mistakenly said

One has to forgive Harper. He just spent seven years in Washington. Philly rhymes with DC. To skeptics sounds like someone’s heart is still back DC while he chased the money, per say, in Philadelphia.

Harper did want to bring a title to DC at one point in his career, but now he is public enemy No. 1 in DC baseball, signing with their hated rivals regardless if the Nationals brass didn’t give him much of a choice.

While Harper will actually be focused on winning a title for Philly, Nats fans can only hope his exit from the team leads to a title being brought back to DC.
