The Nationals are headed to their first-ever NLCS after disposing of the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 in Game 5 of the NLDS. After the Nationals tied the game in eighth with back-to-back home runs off Clayton Kershaw, Howie Kendrick capped the epic rally in the 10th with a grand slam that proved to be the game-winner.

The Dodgers were expected to last a lot longer in this year’s postseason after coming up short in the World Series each of the last two seasons. Then they cruised to 106 wins, but drew the red-hot Nationals. It was a bad matchup for the favored Dodgers. And after an epic collapse in Game 5 after being up 2-1 in the series, Kendrick’s Wikipedia page update seems fitting.
Who knows, but for the 2019 Dodgers, Kendrick just ended their postseason existence.
