Daniel Hudson has rejoined the Nationals after missing Game 1 of the NLCS while on paternity leave. The Nationals reliever and his wife welcomed their third child a baby girl Friday just before his teammates beat the St. Louis Cardinals 2-0.

While there was a huge uproar from critics, including former Miami Marlins president David Sampson, about Hudson skipping the NLCS for the birth of a third child, manager Dave Martinez encouraged Hudson to be with his family.

Then sometime after the game, suggested to Hudson an very interesting and clever name.

The name “Aníbella Sean” is in reference to Nationals pitchers Anibal Sanchez and Sean Doolittle. Together the two combined to shutout the Cardinals in Game 1.

Sanchez held the Cardinals hit-less for 7 2/3 innings before Jose Martinez lined a single. Doolittle came out of the bullpen and took care of the rest, getting the final four outs to preserve the Nationals’ win.

Unfortunately for Martinez, Hudson and his wife named their daughter Millie. Just a guess, but a National fan (or two) is probably thinking of using Martinez’s suggestion for their next child.
