The Washington Football Team elevated linebacker Jared Norris and offensive guard Joshua Garnett for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
For Norris, this will be his second elevation of the season. He is replacing the injured Cole Holcomb (knee), who has been ruled out for the second straight week. Norris played 20 snaps on special teams last week against Arizona.
It’s unclear how long Holcomb may be out. But, if Washington needs to elevate Norris again this season, he will have to be added to the 53-man roster with a corresponding move much like wide receiver Cam Sims was earlier this week.
Garnett is getting his first elevation of the season. Washington was in need of a third guard for Sunday’s game, as swing guard Wes Schweitzer is expected to start at right guard in place of the injured Brandon Scherff. Washington placed Scherff on injured reserve this week with a sprained MCL.
