Dwayne Haskins is thanking his wide receiver after bailing him out with a huge interception-saving hit on Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward.
Haskins made a bad read amid pressure, hanging a floater in the air directly to Ward. Just as Ward had the interception in his grasp, Washington Football Team wide receiver Isaiah Wright hustled to the spot, delivering a huge hit that jarred the football away from Ward.
Wright turned into a defensive back on the play to prevent the crushing turnover. His effort loomed large as Washington scored a touchdown five plays later when Haskins found Dontrelle Inman in the end zone for a 17-yard touchdown.
