Giants LB Ryan Anderson suspended six games for PED’s

New York Giants linebacker Ryan Anderson has been suspended six games after violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs. Anderson will be eligible to return to the active roster on Oct. 18.

Anderson has been buried on the Giants depth chart at outside linebacker. He missed a good portion of training camp and preseason while on the PUP list with a back injury.

He was released and then re-signed earlier this month as a “procedural move” to adjust his contract after being activated from the PUP list.

Anderson spent four seasons with the Washington Football Team after being selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He struggled throughout his time in Washington as an edge rusher and linebacker.

His best season occurred in 2019 when he tallied four sacks. However, after a disappointing year 2020, Washington moved on and he signed with the Giants this past offseason.
