Maryland Football debuted a brand new enormous videoboard. The 120-foot-by-54-foot (3,600-by-1,620 pixels) display is located on the West end of zone of the Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
The 6,532 square foot videoboard is the largest in the Big Ten Conference. It’s the ninth-largest in the nation. The display will be the first in college athletics to operate end-to-end in 1080p HDR (High Dynamic Range) broadcast quality, according to
Maryland rolled out the new videoboard ahead of their Friday night showdown against No. 5 Iowa. The previous screen was 15 years old.
The Terrapins have yet to arrive in the Big Ten on the gridiron. However, they’ve burst ahead of the pack with their enormous videoboard.
