The Washington Football Team got some good news pertaining to running back JD McKissic. But he still was unable to practice Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
McKissic was cleared out of concussion protocol. However, he has a neck injury that continues to keep him out of practice, per Matthew Paras of the Washington Times.
He was injured on a tackle against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12 in the fourth quarter. McKissic was carted off the field after the scary hit.
He missed the last two games against the Las Vegas Raiders and Dallas Cowboys. He hasn’t practiced since the injury.
Washington was slated to play the Eagles on Sunday. But the game was moved to Tuesday night after the team had as many as 24 players land on the reserve/COVID-19 list the past week.
The extra time will allow for some players to return from the COVID list. But, the injury update on McKissic Saturday still leaves doubt that he will be on the field Tuesday night for Washington.
