Watch: Trent Williams reacts to first career playoff win

All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams accomplished a first when the San Francisco 49ers held off the Dallas Cowboys for a 23-17 win in Sunday’s NFC-wild card playoff game. For Williams it was his first playoff win of his 11-year NFL career.

Williams called the playoff win, “the best feeling in the world,” per Sam Hustis of KNBR.

Williams played nine seasons with Washington after being drafted by them fourth overall in 2010. Williams made the playoffs only twice in Washington despite seven straight Pro Bowl seasons.

Both playoff appearances — 2012 and 2015 — ended with one-and-done with wild-card round losses.

A squabble that led to Williams sitting out the 2019 season with then-team president Bruce Allen and the team medical staff ultimately led to Williams being traded to the 49ers in 2020.

Williams landed in San Francisco and Washington received a 2020 fifth-round draft pick and 2021 third rounder.

Williams continued his Pro Bowl streak in both of his first two seasons with the 49ers. This season he earned his first career first-team All-Pro nod. He’s been instrumental in the 49ers’ success this season.
