The ongoing feud between two former polarizing Washington Wizards had its latest chapter Wednesday. Gilbert Arenas ripped Kwame Brown following Brown’s criticism of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
James was seen looking at the stats sheet during a recent game. It’s a common practice by many players. However, Brown took aim at James in a video.
“When I saw brother LeBron watching the stat sheet, that told me all I needed to know on why the Lakers are losing,” Brown said Monday. “That told me all I needed to know why that team is not connected on defense.”
Brown added, “Kobe would’ve never done that.”
Arenas, who has been a target of Brown as well in recent days, fired back at Brown, ripping his lackluster career in the process.
“Ur right #Kobe would have NEVER looked at the stat sheet becuz he KNEW yo a– had 0,” Arenas wrote on Instagram in response. “The whole arena knew u had a @krispykreme (donut) extra glaze with the hot light on clown. You were a professional exerciser, a big buff BUST out there doing cardio.”
The two have been going back and forth with barbs at each other. The beef has intensified in recent weeks. At one point recently Arenas threatened to expose Brown with a 54-minute that Agent Zero has been holding onto.
The feud sparked over the past summer when Brown made his unruly introduction to social media. Brown responded to comments made about him by Arenas during an appearance on Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes’ “All the Smoke” podcast.
Given the popularity in the two rivals’ podcasts and social media has led to pressure for Brown and Arenas to respond to each and keep the beef going.
