Kyle Kuzma wasted no time responding to Spencer Dinwiddie’s jabs

The ongoing war of words between former Washington Wizards teammates Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie entered a new chapter on Wednesday.

Dinwiddie recently appeared on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back, firing jabs at Kuzma.

“I’m in the playoffs. He’s not and you know… I’m just saying to address a socialite, right? Like there’s a lot of guys in the NBA that really poured their heart and soul into basketball, [and] are willing to do whatever it takes to win. There are a lot of guys that have different things that drive them and motivate them.

“I think if we look at you know him in the way he approaches life, fame, all that stuff that we can see that you know, his priorities tend to vary, Dinwiddie continued. “That’s why [he] dressed the way he does, approaches basketball the way he does, the comments he makes.”

Well, Kyle Kuzma wasted no time responding to Dinwiddie. The 6-foot-10 forward addressed Dinwiddie in a Twitter thread.

“Insecurity is loud? The Wizards and I have so much real estate on Din[expletive] Island,” Kuzma tweeted. “This guy got signed by a team 60ms and was traded before the following season was over.”

“What in the world have you won in this league? Lol, you’ve been bounced around like a basketball my boy,” Kuzma continued.

“You can thank KD & Kyrie and for spearheading 34 wins before the all-star break (11-13 after the break) for your playoffs,” Kuzma said.

“2nd option??? More like 2nd point guard Lol my man I watched you for two months at the end of your Wizards tenure (being the second option) average 8-4-4. Sounds good but glad you’re hooping now!” Kuzma said in tweet No. 4.

“And yup! I got a bag coming. Stop hating lol,” Kuzma said referencing the money he is expected to sign for in this upcoming free agency.

“And last but not least! The only way you’ll ever be worth your contract is if the NBA finally gives you your wish of getting paid in crypto check the markets [Trending down chart emoji]. Enjoy your clicks! Go @sixers!!!” Kuzma capped off his thread.

The beef between Dinwiddie and Kuzma stems from their time as teammates in Washington. Dinwiddie signed a three-year deal worth up to $61 million. However, he apparently wore out his welcome inside the locker room. Ultimately, the
Wizards traded him to the Dallas Mavericks after playing 44 games in his lone season there.

From there, Dinwiddie has taken issue with the Wizards. In the past year-plus after the trade, he has thrown barbs at his former team, and Kuzma has been the one that has responded.

Fans may want to get their popcorn ready the next time Dinwiddie and Kuzma are on an NBA court together.
