Washington working out OL Jeremy Vujnovich

The Washington Football Team will work out offensive lineman Jeremy Vujnovich Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Washington may be looking for depth for their interior offensive line. Pro Bowl right guard Brandon Scherff will miss a “couple of weeks” with a knee injury, according to head coach Ron Rivera.

Scherff exited Sunday’s loss against the Arizona Cardinals in the second quarter after having his leg rolled on. Wes Schweitzer replaced Scherff at right guard for the remainder of the game. Wes Martin, who starts at left guard, is the only other natural guard on Washington’s active roster. Joshua Garnett is signed to the practice squad.

Vujnovich signed with Washington in the off-season, but was released just ahead of training camp as NFL teams had to cut their roster from 90 to 80 players due to COVID-19 protocols.

Undrafted in 2013 out of Division III Louisiana College, Vujnovich ultimately landed with the Indianapolis Colts for two seasons. He started 16 games in 2017 for the Colts. However, he has played in just two games (with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018) since.
