Washington adds Kendall Fuller, Tim Settle to COVID-19 list

The list of players affected by COVID-19 is growing for the Washington Football Team. Tuesday, Washington added cornerback Kendall Fuller and defensive tackle Tim Settle to their reserve/COVID-19 list.

Fuller and Settle become the 10th and 11th players on the team to be placed on the list since last week. Star defensive tackle Jonathan Allen was added Monday.

The good news is Washington announced they got one player back as cornerback Darryl Roberts has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Washington also activated safety Jeremy Reaves from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement.

Fuller is the bigger name. He has started every game this season, and been an integral part in Washington’s turnaround on defense. Unfortunately, they’ll be without him for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to NBC Sports’ JP Finlay, Fuller is unvaccinated and will have to be isolated from the team for at least 10 days before being eligible to return.

Getting Roberts back is even more important with Fuller forced out.

Settle’s potential loss could also be damaging for Washington’s efforts against the Eagles. It’s unclear Settle’s vaccination status and availability for Sunday. Currently, Washington is down to two defensive tackles and four defensive ends on the active roster.

Washington entered into enhanced COVID protocols Monday after adding four players to their COVID list. The team will conduct meetings virtually. Players, coaches and all staff are now required to wear masks no matter their vaccination status while in the team’s facility.
