Chase Young ruled out vs. Browns with groin injury

Washington defensive end Chase Young has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury. The rookie pulled up on a pass rush on a third down play in the second quarter.

He then headed back to the locker room and was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game.

Washington also lost defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis for the rest of the game. He suffered an arm injury in the second quarter as well.

Washington Football Team’s defensive line is arguably the deepest position set on the team. But losing two of its better pass rushers could be concerning moving forward.

Chase Young entered Week 3 tied for the league lead with 2.5 sacks. Washington’s defense entered the week leading the league with 11 sacks collectively.

Young was the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by Washington. On a defensive line that features five first-round picks, Ioannidis, a fifth-round pick in 2016, shines as Washington’s best interior pass rusher. All eyes will certainly be focused on both players’ health following the game.
