Bradley Beal reacts to Russell Westbrook’s game-sealing tipped rebound

The Washington Wizards held off the Los Angeles Clippers in a 119-117 win Thursday. Thanks in large due to a terrific effort play by Russell Westbrook.

The Washington Wizards star crashed the offensive glass to sky over Clippers’ Ivica Zubac and Kawhi Leonard on Rui Hachimura’s missed free throw. Westbrook’s aggressiveness allowed him to tip the rebound to teammate Bradley Beal, who dribbled out the last seconds to secure the win.

Following the game, Beal, who had a game-high 33 points, said initially he didn’t see Westbrook coming out of nowhere but figured it was him because “nobody else is doing that.”

Wizards forward Davis Bertans was left amazed and questioning how Russ was able to get the rebound.

Center Moe Wagner said Westbrook has the “heart of a lion.”

Russell Westbrook also made some clutch free throws down the stretch. He finished the game with 27 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. The final rebound was credited to Beal, leaving Westbrook a rebound shy of his 11th triple-double of the season.
