Maryland WR Rakim Jarrett burns Penn State for two first-quarter TDs

Maryland freshman wide receiver Rakim Jarrett is off to a fiery start against Penn State, burning the Nittany Lions for two huge touchdowns early on identical looking plays.

First Jarrett beat the defender off a rub route on his way to a 42-yard touchdown on Maryland’s opening drive of the game.

Then, as the first quarter came to a close, Jarrett got free on the same route. This time he rolled 62 yards to pay dirt.

Jarrett entered this week with seven catches for 69 yards through two games. Through the first quarter Saturday, the five-star recruit had three catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns, leading Maryland to a 14-0 lead.
