Maryland WR Rakim Jarrett shares fans’ frustration of losing in NSFW Tweet

Maryland wide receiver Rakim Jarrett understands the frustrations of Terrapins fans after yet another Big Ten blowout loss. The sophomore wideout took to Twitter with a NSFW message.

Maryland was dominated by Minnesota on Saturday 34-16. It’s the Terrapins’ third straight loss after a 4-0 start to the year. Wins over Illinois and West Virginia early in the season generated a lot of buzz in College Park.

However, the wheels fell off in an embarrassing loss to Iowa in which Maryland lost its best player, wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. to a season-ending torn ACL. The Terrapins were destroyed by Ohio State the following week, losing wide receiver Jeshaun Jones to a season-ending knee injury.

Saturday against Minnesota, there was some optimism, the Terps would get back on track. Yet, the Golden Gophers proved to be superior.

Jarrett came to Maryland last year as a five-star recruit. He chose Maryland over other prominent programs such as LSU to stay in-state after a decorated high school career at St. John’s in Washington, DC.

Unfortunately, his first two seasons on campus have been similar. Hot starts cooled off, as Maryland has been overmatched playing in the Big Ten.
