Watch: Carson Wentz lays out Bears LB Roquan Smith with thunderous block

It’s been a struggle for Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz to throw the football. However, he has excelled as a blocker.

During a Brian Robinson run, Wentz sprinted across the formation to flatten Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith with a crack-back block.

Smith had the angle to tackle Robinson for a loss of yards. However, Wentz’s block sprung Robinson free for a five-yard gain to make it 2nd-and-goal from the one.

Robinson scored his first career touchdown on the next snap to give the Commanders a 12-7 lead with 7:21 remaining in the fourth quarter.
